Hi, everyone! I just came back from Bangkok and to say that my trip was amazing would be an understatement. But that’s a story for me to tell in the next post!

Anyway, I was tagged by Bash Harry of Hey Bash! to do a mini ‘Blogger Interview Series’, which I think is a great way for me to revisit my aims for this blog and what I wish to deliver to the netizens around the world.

Let’s start!

1) How did you get into blogging?

I started blogging since I was at the tender age of 12 where the focus had primarily been on ranting and venting out my feelings. As I was still in a phase of figuring out myself, I tended to create and delete blogs of my own which were intended for different purposes ranging from machinima-making to short stories. It was a constant cycle until 2010 where I opened up a personal blog that I didn’t want to link to my social network accounts.

However, that didn’t bode well for me because I wanted to share my adventures with the world without having to hide in a crevice and to have a platform for me to cultivate and nurture my creative side and satiate my case of wanderlust through writing and photography. So, The Rustic Trove happened.

2) What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?

My advice is really simple: write about what you love. It’s a lot of work to maintain a blog, but surely, nothing and no one can stop you if you love whatever enough to write about it on a basis.

3) What would be your dream campaign?

I’ve always dreamed about being part of campaigns that advocate for education, human security, civil and political rights, and women’s rights particularly in ASEAN. Currently, I actively showcase my support for these causes on social media so I suppose that’s my first step to being involved in a campaign.

As you know I have just returned from ASEAN Youth LEAD 2015 held in Thailand and this experience has only fired up my determination and motivation to be directly involved in campaigning for the aforementioned causes.

4) Do you have a plan for your blog?

Contrary to popular belief among friends, I don’t exactly have a plan that I stick to for this blog. I just wing it and write my heart’s content about the places that I’ve been to and the things I’ve done and seen. So you’ll find me talk about many things that are related to Lifestyle & Travel.

5) What do you think about rankings?

To be honest, I’ve never thought much about rankings in the blogosphere.

So there you have it!

Now, I would like to tag:
Amal and Afiqah of Bohemian Brighties
Akhmal Aiman of Akhmal Aiman
Atiqah Hasnan of Pause and Refresh
Hariz Fadhilah of The Medley Notions
BB of BruBookworm

Do check out Bash and the bloggers that I’ve tagged above! They are absolutely inspiring and passionate bloggers who write about what they love, so I hope you’ll enjoy their writings as much I do!

Until next time!

  1. Assalamualaikum, Fi!
I finally get to reading this!! Time has taken me prisoner. First of all I want to thank you for this! I feel so honoured, especially because you tagged me with bloggers of certainly a different level than I. Hopefully I’ll do your tag justice? Haha!

Does my comments ever not include me gushing over your photography? I don’t think so. As expected, amazing shot and edit! ❤

As you know, I've been a citizen of your blog since the very beginning and I just have to say I'm so glad I never stopped. Seeing the quality and content of your posts grow has been a great experience to me and I am definitely rooting for the future of this blog and definitely your campaign.

Thanks again for the tag! Nice timing too! I haven't blogged in a while and since normal posts takes so long for me to write, its nice to do a short one.
