#PrayforBangkok

Hello, everyone! As you can tell from Instagram and none other than my previous post on this blog, I’ve returned home to Brunei from Bangkok last week.

As much as I want to share with you all about how revitalising and enlightening my trip to Bangkok was, I would have to postpone that for a later post in due course of a recent explosion in central Bangkok which has taken at least 18 lives and injured more than 100 people in the area. Thus, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere prayers and my deepest condolences to victims as well as affected families and friends. I was mortified after hearing the dreadful news. Not to mention, the affected area was exactly where I was two weeks ago.

Recently, I have seen and read the news on the politically motivated attacks in Thailand, but I never would have thought that these attacks could go as far as blasting innocent people. It is alarming to know that this attack is possibly stemmed from the conflict between political factions, which further makes me feel awfully upset and fuels my feelings of unjust at the loss of innocent lives in the hands of these heartless perpetrators.

Bangkok is a city that I did not expect to fall in love with and it hurts being away and unable to do anything about the ordeal aside from constantly praying for everyone’s safety.

To all of my family and friends around the world, please be safe and take care.
