Reposted | On my third day in Hokkaido, we took a day trip to Otaru to visit the Otaru Canal and stroll along Sakaimachi Street. We were supposed to go there on my first day and we did attempt to do so after I settled in my luggages in my hotel room, but not long after we got on the train bound for Otaru, the train operator announced that the journey couldn’t resume due to heavy snow on the tracks ahead.
