I probably should begin with an apology for going AWOL for nearly a whole month. I’m deeply sorry for making you wait (if you have been waiting, that is!). I made numerous attempts to get something up, but I found myself to be constantly caught up in something else and I’ve been completely manic about it! I think it’s fair to say that responsibilities as a student got in the way of me trying to keep this blog up and running consistently and being severely ill didn’t help either.
So, I just want to put it out there for everyone to know how much I appreciate your continuous support in spite of my untimely disappearance. Let’s hope that this does not repeat every so often though I can’t promise that it won’t happen again due to academic and student-body commitments, but I can definitely assure you that I’ll update the blog at least once a month, if not twice.
What I think is worth noting here is that I tend to find myself working on posts and shoots in advance and having to delay the release until weeks or even months have passed. The motive is somewhat ambiguous; Is it to keep the hype up? Is it to make sure that I don’t run out of content? I honestly don’t know. As I’m reflecting upon this, I also noticed that I still have yet to post on my trip to Amsterdam, so don’t worry, it hasn’t been forgotten!
And now, let’s move on to the main reason why I’ve decided to update this blog…
YES! You got that right! Once again, Mu’izz Khalid and I collaborated for Wearrior Instinct and the results were just beyond me! You can read more about the outfit here.
Can I just say how excited I am to finally share these photos with you all? For many weeks, I’ve been saving these shots from London which featured a statement piece, namely the electric blue Kenzo sweater. It looked absolutely amazing with the overcoat and the backpack complemented the whole look with contrasting neutral colours. While this outfit doesn’t look familiar when we try to envision or rather associate it with Mu’izz’s personal style, I feel that he effortlessly dressed it down and still successfully epitomised it as an extension of his personal style.
I was truly humbled to receive such overwhelmingly positive feedback upon the release of the images on Wearrior Instinct, especially from Mu’izz himself and his fellow Wearriors. This wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for him!
So, will this be the last collaboration that you’ll see between me and Mu’izz or Wearrior Instinct in general? Hopefully not!
While I was skimming through these images with fond memories of our conversation that took place along the streets, I could not get enough of the beauty presented by the vast nature of the human mind; ranging from conceptualising to perceiving life motions and this was triggered by meeting another introspective soul. Whenever this conversation crossed my mind, with different highlights every time, Mu’izz reminds me of the quote (see below) that I came across on the Instagram page of one of my inspirational figures in photography and branding.
“There is good in the world, and it’s in all of us somewhere.”

Until next time.
P.S. Totally obsessed with Wildcat! Wildcat!’s debut album “No Moon At All”!
