Hello, everyone! I hope it’s not too late to wish you all a Happy New Year! 2014 flew by so fast with a ton of significant beginnings and changes for me and one of them was the kick-start of my film photography journey. Although this journey is still relatively new, I have learned so much about film photography and have even found myself in the process of manually adjusting the aperture and shutter speed, taking pictures, developing the film rolls and waiting for the results which becomes a continuous learning cycle. After each cycle last year, I was constantly surprised yet delighted to be able to execute techniques that I never thought would be possible for me to do, considering that I had no mentor or anyone at all to refer to besides the internet.
And this year won’t be any different. There is so much room for improvement and new discoveries and I’m already getting started!
At the moment, I don’t have any projects in mind so my only New Year photography resolution so far is to continue experimenting various themes for photoshoot and perfecting my techniques. It’s not going to be an easy ride but I reckon that it’ll be an exciting one.
Other than film photography, I also hope to write more about other interests of mine here which is after all what this blog is intended for as I just realised that my recent posts have been focusing solely on film photography.
To start off 2015, here’s a series of my favourite shots from 2014:
