Discover | A Walk On The Wild Side

Hello, everyone! I hope 2017 has been treating you well so far. We’re almost halfway through January and a lot has indeed happened on my side! It wasn’t something that I expected, but it was definitely most welcomed. After taking another short getaway from social medias on top of a string of naps that almost wholly consumed most of my daylight hours, I finally dragged myself out of my cave with a high kick of motivation to update this blog!

To be frank, I’m supposed to work on my holiday essay right now, but I like to think of updating this blog as a little break. So, please allow me to indulge in this!

As most of you can see on my Instagram page, I have been posting a few teaser photos taken during my nature walk with Zihah back in November last year.

It was a lovely sunny Wednesday when the both of us didn’t have any classes, so we decided to spend it with exploring the arguably wild side of Colchester. Our university campus is literally located on the vast and picturesque Wivenhoe Park, so I truly mean it when I say my university looks like it’s situated in a recreational park – because it is!

Getting off from one of the bus stops on campus, we walked through the open spaces marked with grazings from when the season was perfect for planting and growing.

From capturing one photo after another, we found ourselves moving further away from the campus and deeper into the wild side where we stumbled upon a stable of magnificent horses and a deer quietly watching us from afar.

I honestly wish I had more photos of our time venturing throughout the park because it was absolutely a liberating place to take a breather and feel at one with nature.

I’m considering to go back there when the weather gets warmer and the spring flowers are blooming. Hopefully.

Until next time.

P.S. Happy birthday in advance, Zihah! I hope the new year will be another great year! Thank you for everything, especially for accepting me the way I am. ❤
